At Hearthstone Veterinary hospital we use Sevofluorane, one of the most safe inhalant gas anesthetics available on the market today. Prior to anesthesia, a thorough exam will be performed on your pet in order to identify and anticipate any potential issues that may arise while under the anesthetic. We offer an in-house laboratory in order to obtain same-day blood work prior to anesthetic procedures and can specifically tailor an anesthetic protocol to each pet based on their underlying medical issues. Each pet will have a dedicated nurse to monitor the sedation, anesthesia and recovery process in order to ensure optimal comfort.
Although anesthesia and surgery can be a scary prospect, we will work to make the process as smooth and low-stress as possible for both you and your pet. We use state-of-the art monitoring equipment to measure your pet’s health parameters while they are under anesthesia.
